Insecurities make people do the craziest things.  Security is found in the things we do, the people we know or are attached to, our possessions, our families or lack thereof, religion, studies, gods, and other things that consume our time so as not to think about our insecurities or things that hide our insecurities.  Yet the only true cure is something everlasting because otherwise it’s only a temporary fix.  Why then is it so difficult to be secure in something so everlasting?  

I am a middle child, more than ever I realized that today.  

Jesus, be my refuge, my fortress, my security.
