Just an ordinary guy, but inside is an extraordinary image of his Creator.

May God use this blog to distribute His Way, Truth, and Life to all.

Forked Destiny

When life meets these it often has to reflect on everything that has happened up to the fork.  Choices are made from other choices, just as truth comes from Truth.  Only a desperate heart wants to choose the best choice from the best Truth, but how?  Both roads are long and windy and veiled by shadows were certain uncertainty exists.  The left seems more peaceful, embraces by flowing hills of green grass and blanketed by flowers, but there is a twitch in your steps as you lean and walk towards it.  Backpedaling, your fear of some frightful challenge that awaits that road overcomes your tipping decision.  The right path makes more sense, but is choked by a merriment of thorns.  Each spine stretched out to grasp at even the hem of your rags.  ”Rags to riches” begins to entrap your mind, when a glint of light bouncing off the eyes of a shadow catches your attention.  In the thicket lies a man darkened by a life of abject poverty and the absence of shelter from the beating sun.  Stepping further back you see more clearly the line that separates each half of the horizon.  Framed by two stories each side has an attractive justice against injustice, but behind each curtain of justice is a battle, hard-pressed against overwhelming forces.  To the left, the blue pill and to the right, the red one.

“Awaken ole sleeper and pull from your stone, destiny”

Reality awakens even the most ignorant of hearts.  Grasping the man’s hand and pulling him from the thicket’s grasp, you discover another hand grasping dearly onto the man’s.  A young girl, burdened with the task of just holding on; holding on to a hand of hope and the breath of life.  Saving lives is an act of love.  Which path leads to greater love?
